Fit Lifestyle - Winning Your Psychological Battles

Psychological battles that we face everyday ultimately require a decision from us.

The battles rage on.  I’m talking about the psychological battles that you fight everday within your mind.  You can and should be a winner against even your greatest psychological battles.

I’m sure there are several different ways that these wars in your mind can be defined but here’s my definition of a psychological battle…

The bouncing around of powerful positive and negative thoughts within the mind, that demand a decision regarding a specific desire, situation or outcome.

What are your psychological battles that you face everyday in regards to fitness, nutrition and building the body of your dreams?

What are the obstacles that trigger your mind to race and create a tough decision?  Do the decision really have to be that tough?

Check out this quick video and then read below for a couple of common battles that you may face yourself:

(You can do it!!!)

Now, here’s  a few common psychological battles that you may be able to relate to and my thoughts on how to overcome the negative side of the battle.

Battle #1

You know what, I’ll start my workouts tomorrow for sure!  I’m just way too busy today and I’ll just want to relax after I get all this stuff done.  Tomorrow will be better.

Winning Thought

You know what, I’m tired of waiting for a tomorrow that never comes.  I’m going to take this moment right now because I know tomorrow isn’t promised to me.  Today IS my tomorrow!  Let’s get this workout on…

Battle #2

I did really good last week with my eating, so I’m just going to relax a LITTLE bit this week.  Besides, I should be able enjoy myself as much as I want I long as I just work out longer.

Winning Thought

I feel really good about how I’ve been doing with my healthy LIFESTYLE.  It’s been a couple of weeks since I treated myself so I’m going to finish this weeks workouts and nutrition really strong and then go out with some friends and have a really nice victory meal on Saturday.  Sunday morning, I’ll wake up renewed and ready for the week.  Yes!

I’ll leave you with this…

Your psychological battles will ALWAYS require you to make a decision.  Are you prepared to make the winning decision, even if it’s the hardest decision?

  1. Donovan,

Man this post is great. NOTHING is really achieved unless the Psychological battle is won. It is THE major step in achieving the dream body. As a Dream Body Constructor, you truly realize this and your clients are getting awesome value and results because of it.

  3. Hey Donovan,

I was reading your comments on Bedros’ blog about your double money back guarantee. I’m a boot camp instructor in canada and a fellow BCBP member.

I’ve been using a 30 day money back guarantee but i feel the double guarantee is more powerful so I’d like to give it a try.

Would you mind if I had a look at your double money back guarantee form you get your campers to sign?
